1997 nissan maxima repair Sign In

1997 nissan maxima, repair shop replaced axle shaft assembly, shop tried 7 different axles before the found the "right one", after eighth try, I drove away and went back to the repair shop stating something was wrong. Test drove and mechanic thought there was something wrong but should be ok to drive. Drove care for a day and 1/2 before returning car. Now the car needs wheel bearing assembly for another 630.00, are these two items related. I feel like I am incurring another cost because it wasn't fixed right the first time. Thanks for advise.

This requires a press to replace and bearing is not really related to the driveshaft. Pars should be less than $100 bucks list so the extra $530 seems a bit much! It would require a front end alignment after removing a whole steering knuckle which is part of the procedure. I'd be sure it need this bearing which it could and find a better price - that's plain too high IMO,
