1997 Saturn SL2 Clutch won't move into gear

My clutch pedal will drop to the floor when you push on it. Even when the pedal is depressed, the gears cannot be changed. The problem occur suddenly and before that changing gears became more difficult each time to shift this pass friday. I had the clutch cable replaced this year after it broken. Please help with an answer. Thanks
