Hello!
1997 Plymouth Voyager
90,000 miles
Okay! Well my girlfriend and I took a trip to Los Angeles from Wisconsin. Took 4 days to get out there and we took 3 days on the way back... or at least what was supposed to be 3 days. Got stuck in Nebraska towards the end of our second day.
Was going about 75 miles an hour with my cruise control set and had been going for about 3 hours without even touching the brake. All of a sudden the car began to decelerate by itself. I thought maybe the cruise control stopped working but when I tried manually accelerating, nothing happened and then the car started to jerk a little bit as I pulled off the road onto a shoulder. The engine promptly died after accelerating. Waiting 5 minutes I turned my car back on and it seemed to be working fine, I stopped again after the car started to decelerate once again after about 5 minutes of driving at 75 mph. Waiting half an hour and opening the hood to let it cool off(I thought I may have just overheated the engine even though the engine heat was normal) I got back on the highway with no problems but kept the engine at 65mph and accelerating extremely slowly. After an hour I reached a hill where the car had to downshift to get over it and then it promptly died.
I'm thinking fuel pump problem? I really have no idea what is going on and I'm stranded less than a day of driving away and really want to get going. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sure does sound like a Fuel delivery/Pump problem.
You'll need to have the fuel pressure tested using a pressure gauge.
