1997 Plymouth Breeze leaking oil - need picture of engine. Sign In

Hello;

I have got a 1997 Plymouth Breeze. Does anyone know where I might can get a picture or an exploded drawing of the engine?

I have had a problem with the timing chain cover leaking oil. I have also had a problem with the head gasket leaking oil.

My mechanic has replaced the timing chain and cover. He has also replaced the head gasket. The oil leak(s) stopped for a while but now the car has started leaking oil again.

I need a picture of the engine so that I might have a better understanding of the problem. I would appreciate any information that anyone could provide about the Plymouth Breeze engine and oil leaks.

Thanks.

I think those along with the Neons have alot of problems with bad cam seals. They actually pop out sometimes. I know for the Neons the dealerships have updated cam seals to correct this problem. You might want to check if theres one for your car too. Alot of times those leaks are mis - diagnosed as head gasket leaks.

bmac;

Thanks for responding. The mechanic got the leak stopped I think. The oil drain plug had a broken gasket.

They mechanic earlier installed the head gasket kit. I'm wondering if the head gasket kit typically includes the cam seal?
