The door lights in my car will not shut off. My battery died because I was unable to get the door lights to turn off. I tried jump starting it during lunch the following day and it started fine but the lights remained. I checked all my light switches and made sure my doors were closed. I have read of this possibly happening because a door sensor is not recognizing that a door is shut, but I am unfamiliar with what the sensor would look like or how to fix it. The door sensing switch MIGHT be at the latch out of sight inside door and might respond to a good spraying with like WD-40 if one of those is the issue.
