1997 Ford Taurus GL

I have a 97 Ford Taurus GL with 75,000 miles. Lately while driving it acts like it is running out of gas and sometimes it shuts off. Even if you acceralate alot it doesn't speed up. Any ideas.

Hard to say but it may infact be running out of gas so to speak. Has the fuel filter been changed? This would be a good and cheap place to start.
