1997 Dodge intrepid turnes over but wont start

This may sound crazy, but our 1997 dodge intrepid with a little over 100,000 miles and the 3.5 engine doesnt seem to like a certain humidity, temperature, time of year, etc. The car will turn over but will not start. usually when its warm and humid, usually in the AM. We live in Montana approx 4500 Ft. This has been going on for the past 3 years. we can try to start it in the am... will not start... try again in the afternoon... bingo! easy start. 2 years ago replaced the fuel pump and it still did it. our mechanic has never been able to have the car when it wont start and said he couldnt find any wrongs. 2 years ago he put in a new ignition switch cause mabe that was the problem. No problems since then until 4 days ago... But our weather was different last year...dryer... one day it will start, the next it wont... any Ideas out there???

Well as you already know....The key is being able to look at it when the problem is occurring......
I don't like throwing parts at cars but a guess at an ign switch solved the problem for 2 years??... and now the same problem back??..... I would at least look at the new ign sw see if it shows any signs of overheating......white plastic turned brown, melted connecters, etc
