Hey, we are switching out oil pans on a 1996 blazer, 4.3, 4X4, auto. We have the engine lifted to the max, the front pass. side axle housing unbolted & pulled forward with a ratchet strap. The starter removed. The oil lines that run from the remote oil filter down the drivers side of the pan. The pan is dropped down quite a ways. but it will not quite clear the transmision bell housing. Do we have to remove the oil pump, to get the extra couple of inches we need to drop the pan the rest of the way down? Please let us know. Thanks-a-ton. Big Al
