Hello-

I have a 1996 Honda Accord and about 2 weeks ago my passenger door started to come "un-latched" just enough to make the light on the door, the dome light in the car, and door ajar lights come on. This happened when the car was in motion and parked, even when the door is locked, yet the door has not flung open when in motion nor can it be opened when only pushing on the door, it can only be opened when the handle is used.

Due to this I have had to turn off the dome light and remove the lamp from the door. The door also is having trouble closing correctly (i.e. lines looking in-correct/door is not "level" with rear passenger door). To my knowledge the door has not been opened to far or pushed down on.

Any help or advice would be great.

If you need more info about the Car or the problem please let me know.

Thank you,
SamM

From the description of the doors not lining up, I would look at the door hinges. Open the door and raise up on the door. If you can movr it up, hinges are worn out.

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
