1996 GEO Prism- trouble starting

My 96 Prism has had trouble starting for a few months and seems to be getting worse. It just clicks and doesn't try to turn over. Could it be the starter and if so is it difficult to change? The battery was changed in late spring so it should be OK. Thanks for the help.

Generally the clicking is low voltage and a single click would be a connection. T
