Hi all,
Ive been having problems with my Escort. Recently it started losing power when driving, it got so bad the car wouldnt move, yet the engine would start fine. Now I can drive the car about 1/2 mile before the problem kicks in, then i have to leave it for a while and i can drive it again, for the 1/2 mile anyway. The car also stays on when keys are out of ignition for a few seconds.
Ive been told by more than 1 person its probably the stop solenoid, so i got the correct haynes manual for my car and oh dear, the haynes manual shows a different pic to whats in my car, great. Now i dont have a clue where the stop solenoid is. Ive been told its likely to be on the injector, but can someone give me an exact location of it?
