1996 Dodge Stratus wandering	Sign In

Hello,

My stratus will pull to the left when I take my foot off the gas and pull to the right when I give it gas. What would cause this? I took it to a shop the day it acted up and they replaced a tie rod on the passenger side that needed replacing, but it didn't do anything for my problem. I was out of time and money so I didn't take it back that day. I've crawled under it and everything seems tight. All 4 wheels feel fine, not sloppy. The only thing I saw was the driver side rear shock boot was off. It is definately something in the frontend/drivetrain.

First off - Do the tires have equal pressure, same type and even wear? FWDs have some 'pulling' effect by the nature of it but shouldn't be unusual,

Yeah, the tires are good. It's more of a swerve than a wander though. If I let off the gas easy I may not notice it, but if I take my foot right off it swerves left pretty good. When I gave it gas right after it swerves to the right.

Have a look at the motor and transmission mounts. Common symptom with bad mounts.
