I have a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer that I finally got to start. It is showing no codes after the latest clear and we got it to start, but for some reason the gas pedal will cause the car to die and it won’t start afterwards. We had luck getting it to start by unplugging the PCM ground and plugging it back in, but same problem. Entire ignition system has been replaced and we checked for a spark and have one. Everything fires up, we let it run for about 15 minutes, but it dies as soon as you hit the gas pedal. Won’t start until PCM is reset. Right now we’re looking between the PCM and Fuel Pump / Pressure Regulator. Just looking for ideas at this point. We have not pressure tested the fuel pump. Crank pos sensor, coil, and rest of ignition system were replaced, and all had been burnt up.

Is this a Vortec or a TBI system? What is he fuel pressure? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
