my check engine light came on and now there is a sort of grinding or scraping noise when i first give it gas. is it an easy fix or is it gonna cost a lot. i bought the car for 650.00 is it worth fixing or should i cut my losses

Need to know what the problem is before you can determine whether it's worth fixing...... Get the codes read & see if you can see what area is making the noise..........
