1994 Chevy PU: electronic window issue

Some time back my driver's side window would only roll down halfway (electronic). Then if I a wait a minute or so, and press button again, it would roll down some more then stop. Now it only rolls down halfway, then if I keep the button pushed, and use other hand to physically push it down the rest of the way. Same thing rolling up. So I am guessing this may be some wiring, short, or ground in the electronic window. How do I remove the interior door cover, without breaking it, to take a look?
What else could it be?

Sounds like you have a bad window motor.
Here are the door panel instructions
