my car runs for a while like for 5 to 10 minutes and then it die but it only dies when i put it into a shift

sounds like a vaccuum leak to me since when the engine is cold the idle is high and can compensate for the leak. but once the engine warms up and the idle drops the vaccuum leak stalls the engine.
