1993 cougar stuttering on take off

1993 mercury cougar
3.8 liter v6
62k miles
Im having probs with my car stuttering and sometimes dying on take off, after that it runs fine. I just had both head gaskets replaced. I figured this would remedy the prob but it still does it. Wondering if anyone might have some advice. Thanks

Could be bad coil, check cap and rotor for carbon marks, cracks, moisture or wear.. could be old wires arcing out somewhere, check plugs.
