Noticed that the temperature gage was now reading way beyond the 260. Pulled in and got some gas. Drove another kilometer to the hardware store. Let it sit for 10 minutes, when I turned the key on the gage still was way beyond 260 without the engine even running. Turned around and went home. This must be a malfunction. The gage can't be working properly. How do I get it to return back to a normal reading. When you shut off a warm engine, the temperature will increase as it is not recirculating the coolant any longer. If it running at normal temp, which is in the 200F-220F range, then probably is just a faulty temp. sensor. Good luck. Decided to bite the bullet and take it in to the mechanic and get it fixed.
