1993 Olds 88 royale LS lighter doesn't work

Checked fuses. Still no luck. Plugged something else besides lighter into socket...nothing. So I'm assuming it's the lighter socket I need to replace. But how do I do that?
Any helpful feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

You need to use a test light to test for power at the contact at the bottom center without touching the sides with the test light because that will cause a short. If the lighter is bad, they usually have a barrel type base screwed on to it from behind. When you get the new one, you will see what I mean.
