over solenoid clicks.

The truck was lightly hid on driver's door, could the "electronic fuel" sensor need re-setting?
It did run after this mild mishap.

Battery is good, but I did re-connect the lighter; is it possible I shorted something?

Had no warning, no lights or sounds....went to start and all I get is a "click".

It is a 3.o 6cyl with 150k+ miles

I replied at your other post in the Trucks section. What is the deal with the lighter? You reconnected it ---- why was it disconnected?

This single click type sound at the solonoid which may result in the whole vehicle being without battery power is fairly common to battery cable connections (battery known good) at all ends of the cables - six in all with a separate solonoid. I should know but haven't taken note when/ what year lead battery cable ends were not used anymore but if 91 still has them they have to be reworked or replaced at some point. Any style needs attention now and then but the lead ones when older could feel tight and not be more than the other types and tight alone doesn't mean the connection is good - you can actually see the disconnect with a simple 12v test light on these things,

Tom:

Thanks again...all things checked out and I was ready to pull the starter when
I noticed the small 1/8th in" red lead wire from battery cable to starter. (It is a slip on connect).
Once connected..varooom!

Note: I may have dislodged this wire when changing oil filter which sits above starter.

Yup! That rubber coated elbow push on connector has been used for decades and will take out the car - I used to pull that just slightly if I had to park somewhere I was worried about the car being stolen - not often. Pinch that sucker gently with pliers so the connection is good. Use some grease ( I like silicone grease ) on it and forget it.

Thanks for posting your fix,

T
