The car ran really well but would occasionally stall. Twice it stalled out while I was accelerating and both times it started back up again without a care in the world, as if the car had never experienced any sort of stalling problem. The other two times it stalled after I put gas in it before I even got out of the station. After I had put gas in it the second time it was a really shakey ride home and the next day it wouldnt even start. My dad did some tweaking and now it starts and idols but when you start to push the peddle it dies. I am no fool and I did not put anything other than unleaded into my tank. My dad thinks its a loose wire but we don't even know where to begin to look. We replaced the computer and we were still getting the same problem so we switched them back. I have put almost 800$ into the car and I really don't want to give up on it now.

There's a good chance that you have a fuel pump failing. You need to use a fuel pressure gauge and test the fuel pressure at the service port while the problem is present. The spec for the 4 cylinder is 30.5 to 47 PSI The 6 cylinder is FUEL PRESSURE: Ignition ON Engine OFF 40.5 to 47.0 psi With Regulator Vacuum Applied [1] 3.0 - 10.0 psi Less than Ignition ON Engine OFF ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
