Does anyone know which way is up on the front motor mount for the 1990 3.3 engine? The mount is square, but mounts like a diamond configuration. The metal receiver for the through bolt is imbedded in the top of a triangle of rubber. Does the triangle of rubber go in the NE position, viewed from underneath on the passenger side, with the weight of the engine pulling down on it. Or does it go with the triangle in the south west position, with the weight of the engine pressing it down. That would seem the logical position, but the one in it was in the hanging down position and the metal ferrule had pulled out of the rubber. It seems the kick of the engine does torque the engine so that it would push against the torque in the NE position, but just hanging there, it would tend to want to pull out of the rubber. If you know for sure, I would appreciate it. I have the factory manual and the picture is not definitive, nor are the instructions.

Dear Jim,
Thanks, but no, it does not show the orientation of the front motor mount insert.
If you look up on line a front motor mount for a 1990 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 3.3 liter engine, you will see what it looks like. The triangle with the rubber could go one of four ways and there are no instructions. I just am not sure that the one I pulled out was done right. It is easier to put it in with the triangle on the bottom, to move it to the top you have to jack the engine up some (from the broken mount position I took it off in).

Guess:
It looks like it might have locator pieces molded into the rubber and may fit into the bracket one way.
This what your talking about..
IT almost looks like it would go just like it is in the picture here.

Dear Jim,
Thanks for your attention to my problem. The locators are just stops to keep if from sliding through and there is no place for them to fit into or lock. You have to turn this assembly, as pictured, so it is up on one corner, the question is which one. I am pretty sure it will not go in the NW or SE configuration, viewed from under the car on the passenger side, because that would be against the natural torque of the engine. but is the through bolt hanging from the top or coming up from the bottom. From the passenger side looking up the engine torques counter clockwise.
Sorry it is so difficult to explain.

Ok...Just like I stated but it does have to be turned, Sorry!
The V shape points toward the engine from the radiator
In other words...looking at that picture and turning it to the right ,clockwise...

Thanks for the info on the motor mount, sorry for the delay in getting back with you. I mounted it as you suggested and all seems to be going fine. On another note, I just found out yesterday that the passenger inside tie rod, that mounts onto the rack, is bad. I need to replace it and I found a place where I am staying this week that sells new suspension parts ridiculously cheap. I bought the tie rod and the rubber accordion boot for 11.55 total. The last one I replaced had a drive pin in it, this has a allen screw. I have seen a tool you can rent that allows you to screw the thing off from the outside without removing the rack. Any warnings on the use of one, other than removing the allen screw or pin in the old one?
ON another note, how do you tell if the driver side motor mount is bad? I have a pop at times in the frame when I first turn the car on and move it or hit a bump hard. I have thought it could be aframe bushings, the tie rod and ball joints are good and the bearings are fine.
