1990 Mazda Protege not getting fuel Sign In

my mazda started sputtering and then died. I spray starting fluid in the air intake and it will run until the fluid is all burned off... I tested the fuse under the hood, the fuel pump relay and changed the fuel pump but still no luck. I know its getting gas to the filter on the firewall. I've spent about 2 days working on it. please, any help would be greatly appreciated. oh, the engine in it is the 1.8L SOHC

Check your power & ground at the fuel pump connector. I've had 2 Mazdas that had bad connectors in the tank unit.

If you have 12 volts to the outside connector going to the pump with KOEO & the ground is good. Take an ohm meter & ohm the two wires for the pump in the unit connector. If you get an open reading, that is where your problem is.....
