It wont start completely. While it is trying to start the transmission is pushing and my friend says it is stuck on the on position. What can the problem be ? You said it isn't starting completely up top? How am I or any of us to interpret that? Engine and transmission are bolted together and any motion would go with each other. If starter is engaging which is putting torque on engine and engine wont crank that would be one issue to chase down. Alone the engine moving some isn't surprising and if excessive could be mounts that hold it and transmission in place that do allow for some motion but would be too much if broken and would usually still start. If engine is seized starter would still try and a starter motor would struggle a lot.
