1990 Ford Probe just dies, she will run along just pretty as a kitten and pull up to a stop sign and get ready to take off, push on the gas pedal and she dies! She just turns over, over and over. Now, push down the gas pedal to the floor and she will eventually start - kinda. It takes a little bit of time on that part. I have taken it to several mechanics and NO one has any clue as to what might be wrong. I am very frustrated. Please help.

I'd get a code reading and fuel pressure test for a beginning. Is it up-to-date with suggested maintenance items? T

Yes, the regular maintenance is always done, fuel pressure is good, the only code that comes up is a 69 and don't have any idea what that means. Thanks

I show in a dusty old book that code 69 is for "vehicle speed sensor" or "transaxle fault" and I can see how it could die if it get's wrong info from those, T
