1989 Corsica Horn	Sign In

The horn on my '89 Corsica went out recently. I have tried to install a universal horn (as the original one rusted out). I have also tried an original replacement horn from a boneyard which also has not worked. I hooked both up to the battery charger and was able to get the horns to blow so I know they work. When I press the horn on my steering wheel I can hear the click so I know the fuse isn't blown (plus the fact my dome light, clock and everything else on that circuit is working). Is there something else which may not be working or am I just not doing something right?

which type stearing wheel do you have? Some I've seen have two thumb buttons & some I've seen have the beat on the wheel Pad in the center on the wheel!!

96explorer said he could hear clicks when he presses the horn switch wouldn’t that mean that the “wheel pad” is making connection?
The click being heard is likely the horn relay being activated; that doesn’t mean that the relay is functioning properly just that it’s being activated.
Get a test light find the relay by following the clicking sound and test if power is leaving the relay with the switch pushed.
Let us know what you find.

I'll bet this is a marginal ground connection or bad relay. It already rusted out once so that needs to be checked out, T
