1988 Jeep Wagoneer rear door locks won't unlock Sign In

I have a 1988 Jeep Wagoneer 4.0L I6 with power windows/locks. When I use the power lock button up front the front doors lock/unlock but the rear ones won't move. Also, when I try to unlock them manually they won't unlock. I'm pushing on them as hard as I can and nothing. I attempted to remove the door panel to get a look underneath but only got halfway before I had to leave. As I was putting the door panel back on the door unlocked for me. With the door open the lock button would lock and unlock fine (the power lock button still having no effect). However, when I locked the door again, as I was getting ready to leave in another car, the door remained locked and would fail to unlock. I'm thinking its the door lock actuator but am not sure. If that's the case is there a link to any guide on getting that door panel off? cause that was causing me a little bit of trouble. Thanks for any help.

Interesting that they will work with door open. Probably latch mechanism but would need inspection. Sometimes spraying from inside the door will free them up if so. A cool way to watch how the panel comes off without breaking everything is search YouTube for the model and door panel removal and many you can watch it being done,
