1980 Corvette hood release

When I pull the hood release under the dash it only releases the left side. The right side will not release. I reached in underneath the hood and got ahold of the cable to the right side and pulled it and I can hear it click but no release. Any thoughts on how to get to that release to open the hood?

That can be very tricky.
You have to be able to pull on the cable going to that side without prying on the hood too much. The hood has to be pretty much laying flat when the cable is pulled. If you are prying on one side of the hood it will make the other side bind.
Attach something to the cable so you can pull on it while the hood is flat closed. While a helper pulls on the cable, tap on the hood with your hand on the side that is stuck and hopefully it will pop up
Once you get it open make absolutely sure you have the cable adjusted so the latches are synchronized with each other before closing it again..
