1975 mercedes 300d auto tranny wont shift ?

Hi so my tranny acts like it olny wants to go forward it has no neutral or reverse ive changed the fluid and filter it dosnt have any vacum line to the tranny it does have a mechanical linkage that goes into the engine compartment that hooks up to the gas pedal im thinking thats a kick down so if i could get some feed back as to what to do that would be great thanks

Don't know much about mercedes, I would do a pressure test to see if transmission pump is working.. did it work befor you changed fluid filter.. if not was the dipstick over full when running?
