Sign In Hi there I am working on getting my first car road worthy. Its a 1965 Ford Thunderbird. 390 V8. 2 Barrel. When I start it it will stay on for a while the after a while it will stop but when I give it gas it will almost always just stop. I have gotten her to idle for about 5 minutes but it will then eventually die out. My father and I are stumped as to what it could be. Help would be awesome. Sign In Those symptoms are a lot like a coil getting heat sinked.
