06 Frontie Seatbelts stuck!!

Hi, my Father has an 06 Nissan Frontier and we can not seem to get the seat belts unstuck. This includes both passenger and driver sides, but not the back seats. I can only describe it as if the mechanism pulled it as tight as it will go, and now it will not let go. We do not know that much about the mechanism in the seat belt. The only thing that led up to it is that he got into a car wreck last week. He was hit below the drivers side door and hit head on into a poll, but he was not going fast and little damage done. The airbag was deployed. If anybody has light on this please help.

There is probably a locking mechanism that activates to lock seat belts in place. You can search them or ask your local dealer about them. They are fairly easy to replace. Sorry I can't offer a price or how to replace. If you can remind here Monday, when I get to the shop, I will search our database there. Someone else may jump in and offer better information.
