how do i get the CV joint out of the transfer case of my 05 equinox AWD, i need to replace the carrier bearing

The Mitchell labor guide calls for 1.3 hours to remove and install the rear driveshaft. Looks to be five bolts holding it to the transfer case and the normal four strap bolts at the differential. You'll have to have a machine shop or professional replace the carrier bearing, more than likely. Unless this thing has a kazzilion miles on it, the carrier bearing replacement is unusual. I'd recommend replacing the rear u-joint while you're at it. May be wrong on the carrier bearing. Only calls for an additional .7 to replace it.
