I 'm trying to fix the broken timing belt and I'm pretty sure it shut down before it trashed everything else. All I need to do is put the new belt on and can't get enough slack by loosening the idler. What else can I do? It breaks a belt while the engine is running or your starting it, head has to come off. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
