this vehicle has every option known to man and I think that is one of the probs. The out door temp gauge reads really odd temps like 59 when it is 90. the a/c does not turn on or should I say that it will not run with any force. The driver said that it seems to start when he turns corners and sometimes when he use the steering column levers such as turn signals. I am hoping that all of these probs are tied together some how. Is there an experienced GM guru out there some where? This vehicle belongs to my retired parents and they need their a/c for health reasons not too concerned about the out door temp. ANY help would be heavenly!!!

Arggh! Let's see what we can do.

It's got to be hooked up to gauges while it does work or emptied by recovery and note the amount of refrgerant vs what it should be full. Sounds like it's low and I can't make the connection with other controls in this vehicle. Any chance it still has warranty? T

more info on the a/c issue. I probably wasn't very clear but the a/c will come on sometimes and not others. When the a/c does come on it will freeze you out and stay on for a while. I could be way off but in my experience if you are low on pressure when the clutch does engage it is not very cold at all. I am really wondering if the outside temp. gauge and the a/c problem are somehow tied together, I don't have a lot of experience with "climate control" but I thought that might be some how involved. Just want to thank you for taking the time to respond!!!

If it's capable of making cold this is electrical and I doubt the outside temp thing could have anything to do with it. A worn clutch which can be adjusted with tools, but I'll bet this is just a low pressure switch or relay and not the control panel yet.

The factory 134a cars has high side cut outs which it will if pressures get too high and if the fan to the engine isn't right it will cut out, Dont try to jump that plug and they are replaceable without messing with refrgerant, T
