02 chevy trailblazer idling and smell of sulfur Sign In

My 02 chevy lt trailblazer started to idle really bad mainly when i was at stop signs and lights soon after i started smelling a horrible sulfur smell i have had somone say it could be a caliber issue or the catalac converter my truck will not run a diagnostic test cause there is a problem with the wiring that wont allow the computer to run so before i go spending tons of money by process of elimination on ne part that a mechanic says could be the problem i would like to know for sure what this problem could be please anyone with knowledge on this reply to this post

Your going to have to resolve your computer issues first so you can access the data stream and code history. You will need that info to diagnose this problem. It could be a stuck open EGR valve, a rich or lean condition or even a misfire. You need the computer to determine this.

Check your cigarette light fuse if your getting no power to the data link connector.
