They looked at my car and told me the whole thing need to be replaced. It cost me just over $900. Recently I have been experiencing a strong gas scent in my car so I took it to my mechanic. He told me that the pipe had cracked right where it connects to the muffler so I should take it back to meineke. This morning I took it back and just got a call from them saying that they replaced everything last time except the piece that is now broken. They will now charge me another $250. I pulled out my receipt from last time and it states: Remove and replace muffler, exhaust pipe, flex pipe. Are there other parts that comprise the system? When they told me they were replacing the whole thing, I thought that meant the whole thing. They had already told me that they guarantee the materials for two years.
