Hello,
I have a problem with my car, I just bought the car a week ago from a buy here pay here lot. everything was fine until the second day. The engine light came on so I took it Auto Zone so they can hook up the ODB meter didn't get any kind of readings. So i took it to my brothers and he has the same machine hooked it up and the plug doesn't work at all. So now i don't know what is wrong with the car. The speedometer bounces and so the the tachometer does too. I don't know if it could be the O2 sensor or the wires and plugs. i had set the cruise on it and it does the same thing but when I go to climb a hill it really does it bad. I don't smell anything from the exhaust and when it sits at an idle the tach bounces as well. could this be in the tranny it self? When I got the car the had replaced the seal because it was bad. Just need some help so i can try too figure this out thanks again

Sounds like a sleazy lot. Take it back and let them deal with it is my suggestion. If you own the problem the memory may have been erased and take a while to come back,

When OBDII codes are reset it take # of starts and miles to recall info. It this sleazy lot so much as unhooked battery the info would be lost for a while.

I'm not there but sleaze is sleaze in any biz and this sound like it,
