'01 Taurus Stalls with a/c running

Car runs fine until a/c is put on. It then stalls pretty much immediately. Turn everything off, it starts right back up. Turn on a/c, stalls again.

Will it stall when you are giving the car extra gas, or just at idle? This is important, because the cost of repair could be quite a large range.
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
