Hmmm? Can be normal but pay attention to that. Check oil dipstick too. Can you see inside engine under oil cap if like that too? If so not so good. Oil on bottom of dipstick should be all oil not creamy as you put it. Some weather and use conditions can make condensation inside that will do that and sometimes it's a sign of coolant getting in oil. If just marginal right now and all else checks well and runs well just clean up what you see as best you can, even change oil and look at that too. Again - pay attention and if coolant level is going down and oil level is going up hurry for the full diagnosis and fix. If just low use, cool nights, humid and dew on vehicle conditions it can happen and be normal and still not what you want so if so change oil more often, T

Yes, if it's only on the cap, that's pretty normal condensation. You shouldn't find it in other parts of the oil though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

If there is more than just a very small amount of that creamy substance inside the crankcase, then you've got an internal water leak in your engine, either a bad head gasket, or if there is a water passage between the head and intake, it could be coming from there. If the engine has been overheated, it could cause the head (or heads) to warp and leak at the gasket. There is also a possibility that there is a crack in one of the castings allowing water to get into the oil. Another thing to look for is if you have oil in the water as well. Depending on where your problem is, oil will leak into the water when the engine is running because the oil pressure is higher than the water pressure, but once the engine is turned off, the water pressure remains and will then force it's way into the oil. This is all worst case scenario of course.

As already stated, if it's only on the cap, there is no problem with the car.

It could be as simple as a clogged ,broken or missing pcv valve. Or what ever type of crankcase ventilation system you have. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
