Please help, i have a j reg vw golf, it starts up fine, when you put it into first gear it pulls of ok but as you gather speed it makes a very loud clonk which jots the car, then the car continues to drive forward but has a loud tapping noise which appears to be coming from the front of the car. There was no lead up to this specific problem though I did take it two the garage about a week ago and the invoice says "fault find rough running code read LAMBDA SENSOR 2xbroken/earthed wires to throttle bodie, this trip to the garage was to solve a juddering in the engine. Please help as we were just about to go and px the car and now obviously we cant drive it to the garage. many thanks

Seems as you said car is undriveable that towing to a shop for the fix is the only choice. If you intended to fix this yourself and have the tools wait a short while to see if a tech here can suggest what you might do. Sorry but I'm personally unfamiliar with this so far,
