When you say "hard starting" is the engine cranking normally as in starter is turning the engine at the expected speed? I don't have the range of norms at hand but know many Chevs are fussy with the right minumum pressure. Also: Recently noted around here from friends in biz was a bunch of problems with wiring connections at plugs in the wires to the fuel pump and gauge on GM vehicles causing erratic problems and confused testing for a while.
