Sign In 1996 Ford Escort 1.8I ghia estate - petrol - manual 180000 When engine is hot and is stopped it then does not start or has great difficulty doing so! When engine cold starts first time! So far I have had a diognostic test on it and that reads no fault. Have had a new petrol tank filter, new spark plugs and new fuel cut off unit and still have the same problem! Sign In You should check for fuel & spark to see if both are present when not starting...... How does it run once it start?
