splutter underload Sign In

hi i have a 250 crossflow engine which runs a single barral carby i took it for a run yesturday and for some reason the engine starts dieing underload and wont go over 3 thousand rpm. ive reajusted the float level and going check the plugs when it cools down any help plzz

Year, make, model of whatever this thing is would help us some. Was float level off or are you just playing with that?

Other tune-up things good and within specs? For now at a glance I'd say maybe a vacuum leak is allowing wrong info for engine or an exhaust restriction but would need more info to go much further,

hey bud i thought it coulda been a restricted flow through the exahst as well however when i started it up the other night i noticed that the main lead from the coil was earthing on its self so hopefully thats helped it ill try it this week end and tell u how it goes
