I have a 2016 Buick LaCrosse 3.6l v6 LFX and wow I'm lost at what time do. This is the first time I've really dug into an engine like this so i need some help. Here is the timeline of my journey. Car started hesitating during acceleration it'll be at highway speeds it'll just be a slight hesitation. Gradually it got worse and annoyed the Sh!t out of me so I decided to start trying to figure out what's wrong with it. So i start changing out sensors I changed the mass air flow sensor, the map sensor, the throttle body assembly, and new high pressure fuel pump. The spark plugs are less than 5 months old. Nothing work to change the hesitation and it started getting worse too. So I decided to do the timing chain.first Timing chain I've ever did btw. Here's the problem after I did the timing chain I had a slight ticking noise which is now my main problem. I don't even care about the hesitation no more I just want to get rid of the ticking noise. I did the timing chain correctly I've did the timing chain four different times now. After the first time I did the timing chain I heard this ticking noise and I thought maybe I did the timing wrong so I took it apart did it again taking was still there. Did some research thought it would was the cam phasers. Took it apart put all four new cam phasers on there along with the timing chain and guides and tensioners. Ticking was still there. Thought maybe it was the oil pump took it apart again put a new oil pump in it timing chains and all that along with it ticking still there. The taking noise I'm hearing is coming from the right side top of the engine. So I decided to pull the valve cover off and I noticed that on the camshaft the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters are loose a couple of them on the intake right Bank. I forgot to mention when I change the oil pump I also pulled down the oil pan and there was a bunch of debris in the pickup tube from the junk I made from the gasket from doing the timing chain. Anyways so I took it apart again I pulled the last adjusters out took them out and I re-oiled them up and I took all the air out of them I put them back put it all back together still making the ticking noise but this time when I pulled the valve cover off the hydraulic lash adjusters were loose again only on the intake side. It's like they weren't getting oil or something. Why are they failing and why is my noise coming from there. I have a cylinder head on the way do you think this will solve my problem. Do you think some junk got sucked up through the intake tube for the oil in the clogging the system somewhere. If there's a clog it would preventing the camshaft and the followers to get oil correct? Anybody's help anybody's ideas if you got any more questions let me know I'll answer them all please someone help me

OMG! You are trying to fix this using the dartboard method, keep throwing parts at it until something sticks.

At this point I have no clue what you've screwed up with all this nonsense. Why on earth you even considered changing a timing chain is beyond me.

The only advice I can give you is to get it to a very COMPETENT repair shop to give them a chance to diagnose the problem. Just don't be surprised if they want no part of the situation. I sure wouldn't.

Yes you are right I have been throwing parts at it but the good news is I put all the old parts back because I realize that none of the parts are none of those parts were broken. The timing chain the reason I switched it was because I was getting a p0300 Cody and I looked at everything and I came to the conclusion that it was a timing chain. Cuz I really want to do a timing chain I've never do one before so that's how it happened. Can you help me give me some ideas?

That's not good news. That just doubles the opportunities to mess something new up.

A P0300 is definitely NOT a reason to change a timing chain.

Like I advised in my first answer, take it to a competent shop if you can find one willing to work on it now.
