You have a drive by wire throttle system that is having an issue. You may need a throttle body but it needs to be diagnosed much more accurately before doing that. This is not something you want to try yourself. These components are expensive and you need to be sure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Just curious, but what is the actual code number? P2102? Have you inspected the electrical connector for the throttle body actuator? Make sure the connector, terminals, and wiring look good. Also check the throttle body plate by turning off the ignition, removing the air duct, and opening and closing the throttle plate with your fingers. It shouldn't bind and should return back to the default position, due to spring loaded pressure, when you take your fingers off the plate. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

If the plate feels like it is bound up, then the only way to fix that is to replace the throttle body. There is going to be some resistance when you attempt to open the throttle plate because it is spring loaded. The code your receiving means the engine computer has detected an amperage problem with the throttle body electrical motor. The engine computer monitors the motor's amperage and if the amperage is out of range from the computer's predicted motor's amperage it will assume the circuit has an issue. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
