rodeo will not start Sign In

I recently bought an isuzu rodeo 1998. The car was supposedly checked right before i took it but now it will not start. The car will sometimes start after a few tries but it mostly has the most problems in cold weather. All fluids are changed and filled and the battery is fine. all of the lights will turn on fine anf the car will make a noise like it is trying to start, but just won't turn over. i have not noticed a clicking at all. Today i found that when the temperature was above 40F the car would start just fine, but any colder and the car would not.

Just to flatter my mother: she believes there may be a problem with the security... could that be it?

To clarify - is the starter cranking the engine normally but just not starting the engine?

Agreed, need more info. Weather does sometimes play a factor in these things. Especially with older starters. The plunger sometimes doesnt like tio fire. What noise does it make when it wont start?

If the vehicle starts when the temperature reaches a certain point, I think the problem may be in the engine coolant temperature sensor. If it is reading too warm, the PCM will not allow enough fuel in to start the vehicle. Just a thought.
