It merely indicates an issue it observed in the circuit which may or may not be caused by a faulty valve. It's located on top of the canister for fuel vapors and may just have vacuum lines or a plug that isn't sending a signal for several reasons such as wire corroded or who knows? There's also a solenoid for the purge valve and not sure if code can differentiate. Do you have any symptoms at all with this? It means there is a problem in the circuit that may or may not be caused by the valve. It could also be any of the related wiring, a fuse or the PCM itself. Codes give you specific information about the problem.
