I have a 1998 chevy astro van with 4.3 engine.all of a sudden it started run hot.I replaced thermo. 2 times to make sure it wasn't bad one.changed fan clutch, heaterhoses, radiater hose.radiater about 1 yr.old.Oil seems clear of water not milky like blown heads. Before running real hot temps on gauge would gradually go to hot and back to normal now it goes hot and boils out thru radiater cap.How can I tell if radiater is clogged. There are no visible leaks from water pump or anywhere else. Thanks for the help.

You really can't tell that. You pretty much have to assume it is if you have ruled out all the other circulation issues.

That's wishful thinking. It's not likely at all.

Overheating can be caused by anything that reduces the cooling system's ability to absorb, transport and dissipate heat, it can be like the level of coolant can also be low, there may be deposit on water jackets... There are many other causes that can cause overheating.. You check the above things and then see the results.
