UnimpressedI have a 96 onda passport. the other night my gage for the coolent went to hot when i got home. I let the car cool down and checked the water it was full. today it did the same and the reserve tank is full to the top with water but i don't know if the radiator has water cause it is hot. could it be the thermistat???

Water is just a quick fix in order for your engine to cool down put some damn antifreeze in it!

?? Finding it full to the top of whatever liquid isn't right - unless that's by mistake somehow??

This could be low at the radiator itself unseen which could be air now either because of a leak that defeats coolant return to radiator and engine OR a head gasket blowing gasses (vapor) into the cooling system,
