oil all over the engine

Hi, i know that this issue has been posted before, i have a 95 Hyundai excel 2.0 with over 200,000km. The other day i accidently left the oil cap off and drove 80km. When i got into the city i noticed lots and lots of smoke. I stopped driving the car immediately and left it to cool.
I have had the engine steam cleaned twice now before driving it any more than a block. The amount of smoke after 2 steam cleans is still overpowering. I cant drive more than 2km without it getting too much and needing to pull over. By the time i got home yesterday i vomited from the fumes.
I keep being told to suck it up and drive it and burn the oil off, is there anything else i can do to clean it? or does it sound like i have done something to my engine.

No, the engine heat has to burn it off but it really should't take that long. You might have it inspected to see if it still has any active leaks.
